Learn how to make Battleship Maki!

Have you always wondered how to make all the fabulous sushi and maki creations you see at sushi restaurants? Well, there's a new class available at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City which will lead you through the intricacies of making sushi, and other Japanese delights. The class takes place June 24th, and costs $125 per person.

This is part of a series of special classes at ICE available to Visa Signature Cardholders, with a different cooking class each month.

From the website:

Your tour begins with rice crackers, edamame, and a glass of sake. Next, warm up to miso soup, and then you're really on a roll as you create a sushi maki combo of tuna, smoked salmon, California rolls, and battleship maki. Move on to inside-out rolls, hand rolls, dashi-braised salmon, glazed daikon, and baby carrots. Green tea panna cotta completes your menu. Finally, you'll wrap up your journey with a complementary sushi mat so you can practice your techniques at home.

Package includes:

*Instruction from one ICE chef instructor and two chef assistants per class
*Bar, soft drinks, and coffee/tea service, with one waiter per class
*Lecture on techniques and background of the meal being created
*Two hours of hands-on cooking
*Tasting of prepared meal—family-style or as passed courses
*Special gift: sushi mat
*ICE tote, gift apron, and recipe packet

Packages are EXTREMELY limited.
