Le jour de gloire est arrivé!

Another email from our friend Jean-Claude Baker of Chez Josephine:

Mes Amis,

Victory!

Thanks to your support and that of NY1, Page Six, Cindy Adams, and the New York Civil Liberty Union's Executive Director Donna Lieberman and Legislative Counsel Irum Taqi, we won our legal battle against the U.S. Postal Service and struck a blow against censorship.

On March 13th we were informed that the New York district office of the U.S. Postal Service had instructed the James A. Farley Post Office at 421 8th Avenue to accept the uncensored rendition of the 1926 Henry Fournier watercolor postcard.

So here is maman in all her glory... and God bless America!
De tout coeur,

Jean Claude

ReMARKable Palate Podcast #81

I chat with Jean-Claude Baker about his unusual path in the restaurant business, from being raised by his adoptove mother, the one and only Josephine Baker, to opening up Chez Josephine 20 years ago on a slightly seedier 42nd St.
